What's a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs,
blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and
format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Your dorm room should be a personal slice of paradise. For some, the laid-back feel of the beach or ultramodern urban touches can create the perfect sanctuary.
However, for those who prefer the warm, green environment of natural forestry, a rainforest theme is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Here are just a few simple ideas to turn your room into a little slice of the jungle.

Eco-Friendly Sustainability
Before you begin decorating or shopping for your dorm, you should consider the needs of the rainforests themselves. In the past century, this precious land has been demolished for the sake of its resources and real estate. You can be a part of the solution by making a pact to only purchase sustainable materials and supplies. Invest in more expensive eco-friendly linens such as organic fibers. Cotton dorm bedding and bamboo are great, readily available alternatives to polyester blends or those that use harsh chemicals for coloring. Save even more by replacing your bedside or stand-up lamp's lightbulb with one that uses less energy. Compact fluorescent light bulbs (or CFs) can be found at most hardware stores and come in all shapes and sizes to meet your lighting needs.
Lastly, when designing an eco-friendly dorm room, it's essential to consider your lifestyle. It's time to make changes that will make a direct impact within the rainforest. Some simple ways to implement more sustainable living is to keep or donate your dorm items (especially big pieces like a comforter or a seating arrangement), DIY your crafts, or push for recycling in your residence hall.
Nature Retreats
Now that you have committed to living a green lifestyle, it's time to bring the color into your space! There are several color schemes that will work in a nature-loving dorm. Green, white, and light brown can be used together for both simple and more modern looks, while green and yellow make a perfect combination for fun-loving nature fans.
For bedding, look for "splatter" or watercolor designs for a natural, flowing, harmonious look. Mix in decorative pillows or throw blankets with solid natural colors such as gold, bronze, and cream in order to ground the design. Complete the theme with lamps featuring an animal base, larger wooden trunks for storage, grassy area rugs, or jewelry holders made out of reclaimed wood.To further add a touch of green to your living quarters, consider featuring potted plants in your dorm room!
Canopies and Netting
One special way to add a touch of rainforest to your dorm room is to create a canopy above your bed. This has long been a favorite for dorm residents thanks to the privacy it provides and the relative ease with which it can be put together. Here's how to make your own dorm room canopy such as those found in a rainforest bungalow:
Materials Needed: Child-sized hula-hoop2-4 white or beige curtain panels (we recommend a translucent material)Removable hooks (Command-brand or similar)Gold, brown, white, or cream ribbon or ropeScissors or X-acto knifeClear tapeDirections:
- Cut through one part of the hula-hoop with the scissors.
- Pull the curtain panels through the ends of the hula-hoop.
- Retape the hula-hoop with the clear tape. Cover taped area with curtain fabric.
- Hang the removable hook on the ceiling above your pillows.
- Cut three pieces of ribbon the length of your ceiling height. To allow fabric to drape over your bed, double the length to make enough to loop around the hula-hoop.
- Loop the rope around the hoop to make a tripod. Tie all of the ends together.
- Hang at the hook.
- Add items to the hula-hoop such as string lights, strands of beads, or ribbon fabric for an extra decorative touch.
Creating a rainforest themed dorm room is all about nature. By respecting the precious eco-system, you can make impactful decisions on decor elements. From there, create a space that brings in the beauty, peacefulness, and majesty of the rainforest with the right color schemes and design elements.
